Chimps Nest Lodge

Chimps nest is a lodge built on the border of Kibale forest overlooking the snow capped mountains of Rwenzori near Nyabubale, a tinny village between Nkingo and Bigodi. This camp, just as its name suggests is visited by chimps, elephants and monkeys and its only a 15 minutes drive from Kanyanchu, the starting point of UWA chimp tracking and other forest activities in Kibale forest. Visitors are always welcome to try local honey, peanut butter, filtered coffee and pineapple ginger jam as almost all food supplies are bought from the surrounding villages. Chimps nest lodge is an eco friendly place that cares about preserving the environment and natural resources.� The locals constructed this lodge using natural materials and electricity is provided by solar energy.
